FM, Egyptian Counterpart Discuss Mideast Issues

CAIRO — Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Ayman Safadi on Saturday discussed with Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri the latest developments in the Middle East and ways to deal with them to serve Arab issues and common interests.

During the meeting, which came on the eve of an important extraordinary meeting of Arab foreign ministers, which will be held tomorrow at an invitation by Saudi Arabia, they discussed ways to activate joint Arab solidarity to address challenges, resolve crises and enhance regional security and stability.

The two ministers also discussed developments in Lebanon, Syria, Yemen and Libya.

Talks also touched on bilateral relations and means of developing them.
