(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) CHARSADDA: Awami National Party Chief Asfandyar Wali Khan on Saturday said that South and North Pakhtunkhwa would be united after merger of Fata with the province.
Addressing a public gathering here, he assured the tribal people that ANP would be ahead in movement for KP-Fata merger and said that time has come to unite Pakhtuns of North and South Pakhtunkhwa.
He said he wondered why the government was reluctant on demand of merging Fata with KP when the elected representatives were demanding it. "The colonial era borders that divide Pakhtuns will be eliminated once and for all," he said.
He criticized the former and incumbent prime minister for reneging on their promises and said that they would not take a sigh of relief till merger.
He also criticized the provincial government for its inability to run the government and improve the living standard of its people.
