Abdullah bin Zayed meets with Malaysian Defence Minister

KUALA LUMPUR, 17th November, 2017 (WAM) -- H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, today met with Hishammuddin Hussein, Malaysian Minister of Defence, in Kuala Lumpur.

Sheikh Abdullah and Hussein discussed regional and international issues of mutual interest, current developments, and the international community's efforts to combat terrorism and promote opportunities for peace and stability.

They also discussed ways of enhancing the bilateral relations between the UAE and Malaysia, especially in security, the military and defence.

Sheikh Abdullah praised the strong ties between the UAE and Malaysia and expressed his desire to develop them in all areas.

Hussein welcomed Sheikh Abdullah's visit to Malaysia and applauded the progressive relations between their countries.

The meeting was also attended by Khalid Ghanim Al Ghaith, UAE Ambassador to Malaysia.
