UAE- ERC continues supporting water sector in Yemen
SHABWAH, 17th November, 2017 (WAM) -- The Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, has continued its efforts to support and rehabilitate vital sectors in Yemen, especially supply of water in areas where the population are facing scarcity of tap water.
In this context, the ERC signed yesterday an agreement to implement water supply project in Mayfa'a District, in Shabwah Governorate for the benefit of 5,000 persons.
Mohammed Saif Al Muhairi, ERC chairman in Shabwah and Nasser Ba Oum, Director of Al Reef Organisation and Ba Hinjah Contractors signed the agreement in presence of ERC's representative in Shabwah.
Al Muhairai said that the project aims to improve water flow in the area, which is in line with the attention given by the UAE and its wise leadership to improve living conditions in general and ERC initiatives to ease suffering of the population.
