Erdogan: Turkey, Iran, Russia have common position on Syrian crisis solution

Turkey, Iran and Russia have a common position on the settlement of the Syrian crisis, the Turkish media quoted President Recep Tayyip Erdogan as saying Nov. 17.

Erdogan said that despite a number of disagreements, the region's countries are interested in the settlement of the Syrian crisis.

The Turkish president added that the three countries' presidents will discuss the Syrian crisis in Sochi on Nov. 22.

He added that the United States has not fulfilled its promises regarding the Syrian crisis settlement.

Erdogan on Nov. 13 visited Sochi and during a meeting there with Russian president discussed the situation in Syria.

Syria has been suffering from an armed conflict since March 2011, which, according to the UN, has claimed more than 500,000 lives.
