Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif will meet in Antalya this week, said the Turkish Foreign Ministry in a message Nov. 17.

During the meeting, discussions will be held on the settlement of the Syrian crisis, according to the ministry.

Turkey, Russia and Iran will also discuss the Syrian crisis during the meeting of presidents in the Russian city of Sochi on November 22, 2017.

Erdogan has recently visited Sochi, and during the Nov. 13 meeting, the presidents of Turkey and Russia discussed the situation in Syria.

Syria has been suffering from an armed conflict since March 2011, which, according to the UN, has claimed more than 500,000 lives.

Militants from various armed groups are confronting the Syrian government troops. The 'Islamic State', the Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG) and the Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD) are the most active terrorist groups in Syria.
