Russia, Turkey, Iran to meet on Syria in Sochi Wed.


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ANKARA, Nov 16 (KUNA) -- A trilateral meeting on Syria between Turkey, host Russia, and Iran will be held in the Black Sea city of Sochi on Wednesday, Turkish presidential sources said Thursday.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and Russian and Iranian counterparts Vladimir Putin and Hassan Rouhani respectively are set to meet in Sochi to discuss the latest developments in Syria, the sources were quoted by Turkish-speaking CNN as saying.

The gathering comes following a meeting between Erdogan and Putin in Russia.

Turkey, Russia and Iran are the guarantor countries which brokered a cease-fire in Syria in December 2016, which led to Astana, Kazakhstan talks. (end) rs.mt
