Qatar- Free solar mobile charging stations installed at camping places

Doha: Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) has installed free solar mobile charging stations at some camping places to serve the visitors.
This was announced by the ministry on their twitter feed.

Winter camping season started on November 1 this year and will last till March 31.

A total of 22 areas have been earmarked for camping this year. They will be backed by mobile network boosters and many of them will have solar powered mobile charges services for campers' convenience, the ministry had said when they announced the camping season.

Many departments and companies are putting in efforts to make this camping season safe and comfortable for the hundreds who will be visiting these camps.

Ooredoo has successfully upgraded its network sites in areas of the desert, in time for the 2017 camping season. The updates, which have introduced the latest Cat 16 technology to the network sites, will enable campers and visitors in the desert the chance to connect to 4.5G speeds.

Hamad Medical Corporation officially opened its eighth annual Sealine Medical Clinic, to provide specifically emergency medical services for the people visiting the area.

The Ministry of Economy and Commerce had launched an initiative for opening seasonal market for camping supplies by allocating spaces in Al Rufaa Celebration Road.

The Traffic Information and Awareness Department at General Directorate of Traffic organised a panel discussion under the title 'safety conditions of motorcycles and trailers during winter camping season.
