(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) The Royal Horse Racing Club (RHRC) will host the prestigious 47th National Day Cup for horse racing on Friday at the Al Rahba racecourse in Barka.
The event will be held under the auspices of H H Sayyid Tariq bin Shabib al Said.
The National Day Cup will feature a total of nine races. The first race will be for novice women riders (1,200m), while the next will be for pure Arabian horses (1,200m). The third race will be held for locally-bred pure Arabians horses (1,200m), and the fourth race will be for pure Arabian horses ( 2,000m ).
The fifth race is for thoroughbreds (2,000m) and the next race will be for pure Arabian Horses (1,600m).
The last three races thoroughbreds (1,600m) and two pure Arabian horses (1,600m) will witness the riders compete for the coveted 47th National Day Cup.
