(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- If you are planning to celebrate the National Day by releasing balloons in colours of sultanate's flag, think twice. In a public notice, the Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs has stated that a message has been circulated on social media inviting people to release balloons to celebrate the day.
The idea is good, but when these balloons fall in sea they have a negative affect on marine environment as well as land. 'We call on everyone not to support such ideas and express their happiness by raising flags in suitable places that do not affect the environment.'
