(MENAFN) Following the increased fuel prices, South Korean airlines will be imposing higher fuel charges on foreign passengers in December.
National airlines didn't impose fuel charges on long-haul routes from May-Sep., as the usual price of jet fuel was still below the standard 1.50 USD per gallon.
On the other hand, they added the charges on international routes in October, because the average fuel price exceeded the 1.50 USD per gallon.
According to airline officials, fuel fees on international routes will increase by nearly 36,000 won next month, from the 20,400 won of the current month.
