Airbus made the biggest purchase deal

(MENAFN) Airbus and the 4 portfolio airlines of Pan-American Indigo Partners have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the acquisition of another 430 A320neo family aircraft, Airbus stated.

The deal involves 273 A320neos and 157 A321neos worth 49.5b USD at list prices, and was declared at the Dubai Airshow by the Managing Partner of Indigo Partners, Bill Franke and Airbus Chief Operating Officer-Customers.

The new deal will make Indigo Partners one of the biggest customers by order number globally for the Airbus single-aisle aircraft family, when it is added to the current A320 orders of Airbus.

Franke said: "This significant commitment for 430 additional aircraft underscores our optimistic view of the growth potential of our family of low-cost airlines, as well as our confidence in the A320neo as a platform for that growth."
