(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Nama
Centre, an affiliate of Qatar Foundation for Social Work (QFSW),
participated as a ‘Community Partner' in the Global Entrepreneurship
Week (GEW) activities, which concluded yesterday at Qatar University
(QU).
GEW comes in line with the country's strategy and orientation
in supporting youth to develop their entrepreneurial capacities and
skills. Nama Centre's participation in the four-day event emanates from
its belief that QU is the platform that gives birth to future leaders
and that the Centre, which aims to build youth's capacities and prepare
them for the future, should work closely with QU, in addition to the
educational, inspirational and research roles played by the former.
Nama
Centre's participation in the event featured two workshops, showcasing
the experiences of finalists in the ‘Qatari Entrepreneur' Awards,
presenting members of the ‘Sama Nama' social entrepreneurs development
project, in addition to participating in the Bazaar event through 10
entrepreneurial projects incubated by it.
The GEW is held
concurrently in more than 160 countries around the world every year and
includes seminars, workshops and training sessions aimed at supporting
the Small and Medium-sized Enterprises sector and entrepreneurs.
