Relief aid sent for Iraq quake victims
(MENAFN- Gulf Times) His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani gave directives to send relief aid to the earthquake victims in northern Iraq. Yesterday, an Air Force (C17) airliner left Qatar for Iraq carrying relief aid. A total of 49 tonnes of food, medical supplies and tents were delivered. A team from (Lekhwiya) Search and Rescue Team provided relief and co-ordination with the concerned authorities to reach the affected people.
