Doha: An eight-kilometer section of Al Khor Coastal Road starting from the East of Lusail International Race Track up to Semaisma Interchange will be closed for 18 months.
This Closure is required to enable construction works of two new interchanges as part of Al Khor Expressway Project.

The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) announced that the closure, implemented in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, will start on Friday, November 17, 2017.

During the closure, road users who currently use Al Khor Coastal Road to travel between Semaisma, Umm Garn, Al Jeryan, Al Khor and Doha, need to use Semaisma road, North Road, and Al Khor Road to reach their respective destination, as shown in the attached map.

Road users using Al Shamal Road to go to Al Daayen Services Complex should use Exit 29 to reach Semaisma Road and drive straight until they reach the roundabout, then take the first exit and follow the directional signs to reach the services complex.

Ashghal urged road users to abide by the speed limits and follow newly implemented traffic road signs to ensure their safety.
