(MENAFN)A fugitive radical Islamist cleric who was involved in the abduction of soldiers by militants three years ago was arrested by Lebanon's military.
Mustafa Al-Hujairi, known as Abu Taqiyya, was arrested on Wednesday in the border town of Arsal. The town was contolled briefly in 2014 by Al-Qaeda and the Daesh group.
Al-Hujairi was believed involved in the kidnapping of several soldiers and the negotiations with the government for their release.
Media reports however; have said that Al-Hujairi's son allegedly confessed that his father was involved in the attack on Arsal.
