Palestinian expat wins Dh3.67m at Dubai Duty Free Airshow draw


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Faten Mohamad Al Bitm, a 56-year old mother of three from Sharjah became the first ever Palestinian national to win US$1 million (approximately Dh3.67million) at the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire promotion on 14 November, 2017.

Al Bitm has been a resident of the UAE for 39 years and works as an accountant in Ajman. A regular participant of the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire promotion for the past seven years, she bought the winning ticket before flying to Lebanon for a holiday in October.

When asked about her immediate plans, she said, "I will buy a house in the US and save for the education of my children who are also studying there. Thank you so much Dubai Duty Free!"

Two other winners of luxury vehicles were announced at the Dubai Airshow site in Dubai World Central.

Muhammed Iqbal Pasha, a 37-year old Pakistani national and resident of Dubai for six years won a Porsche Panamera 4. "What a big surprise and I can't believe my luck that I won a Porsche car", he commented.

Finally, a BMW R 1200 GS Rally Special Edition was won by and Indian expat, Leena Mascarenhas, living in Dubai for 26 years.
