Lebanese army arrests top terrorist suspect


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BEIRUT, Nov 15 (KUNA) -- The Lebanese Army Command announced on Wednesday arresting "Abu Takiye," (the capped man) Mustafa Hojeiry, who is accused of a number of terrorism issues.

The Army Command added in a statement intelligence personnel arrested him in Arsala, a border town northeastern the country, and was subjected to interrogations.

Al-Hojeiry is accused of belonging to Al-Nusra Front Organziaton and involving in terrorist activities.

The local bearded cleric famous for wearing the prayers' white cap, played a key role in incidents that took place between the Lebanese Army and Al-Nusra Front in 2014 and 2015 He is charged with handing over 16 army troops to the militants. (end) ayb.lb
