Qatar- Ministers, officials praise Emir's historic speech

Ministers and officials lauded the speech of Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani at the opening of Advisory Council's 46th ordinary session terming it historic. The speech conveyed and carried several messages like Qatar welcomes dialogue that can end the dispute and in case the siege countries donot want it, then Qatar would not be affected by it.

Comprehensive,transparent, balanced speech: Al Nabit

Minister of Development Planning and Statistics H E Dr Saleh Mohammed Salem Al Nabit said that H H the Emir's speech was comprehensive, transparent and balanced in terms of touching several national issues and interests, including the process of expanding the democratic practice and popular participation through the next Advisory Council elections.

Speaking to QNA, HE Dr Al Nabit said that the speech comforted the hearts and minds of the society members and was assuring and touched on all aspects of development in the country.

Speech reflectspeople's aspirations: Minister of Justice

Minister of Justice and Acting Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs H E Dr Hassan Lahdan Saqr Al Mohannadi, said that the historic speech of H H the Emir set a comprehensive program for the government in the coming period. The speech also expressed the aspirations of the Qatari people and the ambitions of every patriotic citizen whether in the fields of politics and confronting the unjust siege, the economy and keenness on the development and prosperity of the country, or in terms of other areas that integrate to lead Qatar to safety.

Qatar is on the way to an integrated legislative renaissance that embodies the directives of HH the Emir in his speech that the state shall guarantee in its legal and legislative branches the independence of the judiciary and justice through the modernisation and continuous development of legislation in various fields that meet the interests of Qatar's citizens and residents directly.

Approach for sustainable development:Health Minister

Minister of Public HealthH E Dr Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari (pictured) affirmed that the speech of HH the Emir represents a clear and integrated approach to achieving comprehensive and sustainable development in Qatar. The Minister pointing out that as difficulties intensified, this has increased the strength of the Qatari people and its cohesion with its wise leadership and insistence on achieving more big achievements. The Minister said the speech reflects the strength of truth as well as Qatar's wise and efficient approach against all challenges, especially the unjust siege; an approach that, she said, has earned Qatar the respect of the whole world.

Speech comprehensive

Dr Mariam Ali Abdulmalik, Managing Director, Primary Health Care Corporation said that H H the Emir's speech was comprehensive and covered all political, economical, social and humanitarian aspects.

She also said that it carried a number of messages on the regional and international levels and among the prominent things is to enhance the awareness of the citizens about the current situation to overcome all the challenges.

She noted that the Emir' speech didn't forget countries like Yemen, Iraq and other countries and reflected the humanitarian vision of His Highness.

Reflects features of Qatar after blockade

Mussalam Al Nabit (pictured), Assistant Managing Director of Primary Health Care Corporation appreciated the speech saying it reflected features of Qatar after the blockade. It also carried a number of local and international messages.

'Qatari people will look only forward and will remain proud of their leadership and they know very well how to live and develop their county either the blockade continues or not. The speech also is a message that Qatar is going to the best.

Speech a platform to goals: Advisory Council Speaker

H E Speaker of the Advisory Council Ahmed bin Abdullah Zaid Al Mahmoud said the speech was a platform for the executive body and the council as the legislative branch that works in parallel to the adoption of laws and legislations in order to achieve the desired goals outlined and explained by the Emir in his speech.

Speaking to the press after unanimously being elected Speaker of the Advisory Council Al Mahmoud said the council, through combining the efforts of its members, will be up to the challenges, especially in the current phase facing the State of Qatar. Regarding the future work plan of the council, he said the council is currently meeting, exploring and exchanging ideas in order to establish a clear work plan for the upcoming phase to achieve the goals.

Speech is a roadmapfor government

H E Advisory Council Deputy Speaker Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Sulaiti said that the speech is roadmap for the government and other sectors of the society, highlighting in figures the rates of economic growth and future aspirations.

He said that Qatar's commitment to dialogue as an approach to settle crises won it the respect of the world.

Al Obaidan praises measures taken

In his speech at the opening of the new session of the Advisory Council as the oldest member, Dr Youssuf Mohammed Al Obaidan praised the decision of H H the Emir to expand the membership of the Advisory Council and to include women as well, stressing that this supreme decision is appreciated and cherished by all.

Al Obaidan hailed HH the Emir's speech , which included the measures taken by Qatar to counter the negative effects of the unjust siege imposed on it. He underlined that these measures have absorbed the effects of the siege and overcame them while the country has been going on with its development plans as planned, which brings confidence and satisfaction.

Business community committed toeconomic prosperity

Qatar Chamber Chairman Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani valued the speech by H H the Emir where he confirmed the State of Qatar's capability to face the unjust siege. The chairman said that H H the Emir has showed the people that the siege did not affect the capabilities of the state as much as it pushed it towards further cooperation, productive and constructive work.
