(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Nov. 14 (Petra)- Speaker of the Senate Faisal Fayez today launched deliberations of the Episcopal Church in Jerusalem and the Middle East, a high-profile diocesan congregation offering its services in Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria.
"We, in these circumstances our nation is going through, need all the efforts that enhance the social fabric to counter the various forces of terrorism, and stand in the face of the proponents of sectarianism and region-based divisions", he told participants. Al Fayez lauded His Majesty King Abdullah's vision aimed to bolster peaceful co-existence and common global values and discard the culture of hatred.
"The Amman Message is a bid to go beyond ethnic and faith-driven disparities, a firm voice of moderation and tolerance as well," he noted, adding that the King has relentlessly called for inter-faith dialogue, an effort conducive to reciprocal respect among believers worldwide.
The event exhibited honoring of serving Episcopal leaders and endorsing relevant financial issues.
