Head teachers call for better school funds

(MENAFN) The complaint letter to the chancellor concerning the "inadequate" funding issue is being supported by head teachers who represent at least 5,000 schools across England.

The letter was sent to Downing Street, as a protest about schools' worsened situation of being forced to make "desperate requests to parents for 'voluntary' donations". It also demands school funds of up to 1.7 billion Pounds annually. For now, a worth of 1.3 billion Pounds of educational funding has been transferred into school budgets.

The preparation of the protest was done by head teachers of regional groups on behalf of schools that include 3.5 million students within twenty-five local authorities from Cornwall to Cumbria.
