(MENAFN) During a road project held in Indiana previously this year, seventeen unidentified corpses were found, a plot to rebury them has been in progress but might wind up in court.
Aiming to prevent town officials from reburying the remains in a close by nature preserve, a lawsuit might be filed by relatives of people buried in the Stewart-Emery Cemetery in the north of Louisville, Ky.
WDRB-TV has been told by relatives that the offer might result in placing the deceased in a location where access is tough and struggles with vandalism.
One of the descendants, Kathie Miller, confirmed to WDRB that "it's a beautiful cemetery, it's been desecrated repeatedly over the years. Lots of vandalism and just the foot path alone is a deterrent."
