Kuwait- 'Be wary of water filters'


(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY, Nov 12: Head of Chemical Analysis Laboratory in the Ministry of Electricity and Water (MEW) Sameera Al-Houwly has advised the public to be wary of water filters, indicating the water supplied by the ministry is 100 percent safe and does not need filtering, reports Al-Rai daily.

In her interview with the daily, Al- Houwly pointed out that Kuwait obtained the first Arab classification in the quality of water according to the World Health Organization (WHO) because of the concerted efforts of the ministry's sectors and departments. She added the country fully abides by drinking water standards adopted by the organization. She also confirmed that the ministry working closely with its health counterpart in the field of analyzing water samples by using radiation.
