Students selected for National Day activities


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The National Day organising committee has announced the names of schools and students who have qualified in the first phase to participate in activities related to National Day celebrations.
The activities are part of the vision for Qatar National Day which represents loyalty, unity and pride in the national identity of Qatar.
It also develops creativity and transparency among participants.
The committee is keen to organise a number of activities for educational institutions. These activities include Aelami al Mustaqbal (Journalists of the Future), Ardat hal Qatar, Ad Al-Qaseed, Almasrah (theater), Lmradah, and Qatar Debates.
The preliminary qualifying results for the education sector include three boys' schools and three girls' schools for the final Almasrah (theatre) activity.
Also there are 15 male students and 15 female students who have successfully qualified for Aelami al Mustaqbal activity. Contestants for activities like Ad Al-Qaseed and Lmradah have also finished the preliminary qualification round.
The main aim of organising the activities is to strengthen the loyalty between the people and the leader.
It aims to prepare and create journalists of the future and make them able to understand media, both print and electronic.
For ‘Qatar Debates' activity, the training of 80 students from 20 schools is still underway and the preliminary qualification will be on December 4-5 and six schools will qualify for the final phase at Darb Al Saai.
