Jordan- Lower House starts electing members of permanent office


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Nov. 12 (Petra)--The Lower House of Parliament held a meeting in the Parliament's second ordinary session on Sunday that was chaired by its speaker Atef Tarawneh and attended by Prime Minister Hani Al Mulki.

During the session, the House elected MP Khamis Atiyeh as first deputy speaker, winning 64 votes while his rival Ahmad Safadi received 58 votes.
