(MENAFN) The main road in the Red Sea Resort of Sharm El-Sheikh in South Sinai Peninula Governorate was named after the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah by the Egyptian government.

"This move embodies Egyptian leadership and people's love to the State of Kuwait and its leaders, particularly the Amir", Kuwait Ambassador to Cairo Mohammad Al-Thuwaikh said during a ceremony held on the occasion.

He pointed out that the five-kilometer-long street contains Sharm El-Sheikh International Congress Center, international hotels and several tourist villages and resorts.
