Qatar- MIA Community Day ends on a high note

Hundreds of Qatar residents gathered to celebrate the many cultures that make up Qatar during the conclusion of MIA Community Day event at the Museum of Islamic Art Park yesterday.

The festival opening on Friday was attended by Mansoor bin Ebrahim Al Mahmoud, CEO and Special Advisor to H E the Chairperson at Qatar Museums; MIA Director Dr JuliaGonella, as well as the Ambassadors or the Republic of China, Bangladesh, Morocco, Afghanistan, Tanzania, Syria and Sudan.

Participants from many countries shared their culture with event attendees by showcasing traditional clothing, music, games, books and much more. There was also a selection of delicious food and beverages representing each country.

Countries represented included Jordan, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Tunisia, Palestine, Morocco, Bangladesh, Philippines, India, China, Tanzania, USA, Canada, Turkey, Afghanistan and Sudan. The event was part of QM's commitment to promote understanding, recognition and appreciation of different cultures, traditions and people of Qatar.
