Jordan- King opens parliament's ordinary session tomorrow
(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Nov 11 (Petra) –– His Majesty King Abdullah II Sunday opens the Parliament's second ordinary session, where he will deliver the speech from the throne.
The Senate will later convene in a meeting chaired by President Faisal Fayez where the royal decrees will be read out, one proroguing the Parliament's extraordinary session, another adjourning its ordinary session until Nov. 12, 2017, and a third summoning it to meet in an ordinary session as of Sunday, Nov. 12.
The Senate (Upper House) will then elect the committee to reply to the speech from the throne.
After the Senate meeting, the Lower House holds its first meeting to elect the panel that will respond to the speech from the throne and the two deputy speakers and the Speaker's aides, as well members of the legislature's 20 permanent committees.
