(MENAFN - Jordan News Agency) Baghdad, Nov.11 (Petra) -- Iraqi forces, Saturday started a military operation to liberate the last remaining stronghold under the Daesh terror group in Anbar province.

Brigadier General Jamal al-Dulaimi told Petra's reporter in Baghdad that Iraqi forces launched a large-scale military operation to recapture Rawa and Rummaneh districts in Anbar province, west of Iraq and liberate them from terrorist control.

Before the ground operation, the Iraqi air forces combed the strongholds of the terrorists to eliminate their capabilities, al-Dulaimi said, adding that the Iraqi units liberated large suburbs in the two districts, killing 11 terrorist fighters.
