The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) organised various awareness activities for workers under the theme 'Optimal use of Occupational Health and Safety Data yesterday at the Directorate of the National Medical Administration.
The awareness activities were organised with the participation of the Ministry of Interior; the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs; Hamad Medical Corporation and FocusQatar and Nasim Al-Rabeeh Medical Center.
The activities come within the framework of the Ministry's efforts, in collaboration with concern parties, to promote the occupational health and safety of workers and raise the awareness of migrant workers to ensure the development of occupational health and safety in the workplace to keep them free of diseases and occupational injuries.
The activities include medical examinations for workers, awareness lectures in several languages, workshops on how to use manual fire extinguishers, first aid in practice, as well as the distribution of free drugs to workers after the medical diagnosis.
