The policemen succeeded in dragging the Emirates Airbus "A 380" plane, which weighs 302.68 tons over a distance of 100 meters.

Dubai Police Commander-in-Chief Major-General Abdulla Khalifa Al-Merri received Guinness World Records director Huda Al-Qassab, who presented the record-breaking certificate.

The former record was set at Hong Kong International Airport in 2011 when 100 people succeeded in pulling the 218.56-tonne Boeing 747 aircraft.

The event was part of the thirty-day fitness challenge, which was announced by Dubai Crown Prince Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum.
