Qatar wins Arab Beach Volleyball Championship

Muscat: Qatar men's beach volleyball team won the 26th Arab Championship in Oman for the third time in a row.
Qatar A, consisting of Cherif Younousse and Ahmed Tijan, won the title defeating Oman A with in two straight sets (21-19, 21-18).
Besides Qatar, Oman, Sudan, Iraq, Jordan, Bahrain, Morocco, Yemen and Lebanon participated in the championship.
The Qatar Volleyball Association (QVA) President and Chairman of the Technical Committee of the Championship Ali Ghanem Al Kuwari praised the performance of the teams and the distinguished Arab participation.
He expressed his pleasure in crowning the Qatari team with the men's championship title and the development of Qatari volleyball in addition to the victory of the Moroccan team in the women's championship.
For his part, Qatar National Beach Volleyball Team Manager Mohammed Anbar expressed his happiness in winning the title for the third time in a row. He praised the performance of Qatari team throughout the competitions, wishing that the team continues making achievements in the upcoming continental and international competitions.
The Qatar men's team won the Arab Beach Volleyball Championship in 2015 in Jordan after winning the final against Bahrain and then in 2016 in Morocco after winning the final against Oman.
