(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO, Nov 10 (KUNA) -- Kuwait reigned over the sixth Cairo Artworks and Media Mondial in terms of awards and number of artworks presented.
Some 19 countries and more than 800 art enthusiasts and media experts took part in the gala, Ibrahim Abu Thekri, head of the Union of Arab Producers and president of the Mondial said in remarks at the conclusion of the event, which kicked off last Tuesday under the slogan "Terror will not break us".
Many workshops and discussion panels were held to address many media-related issues in the Arab world, he noted.
On his part, Kuwait's Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information for Radio Affairs Sheikh Fahad Mubarak Al-Sabah, lauded the Mondial's role in catering for Arab media causes.
Kuwait participated in the Mondial with 52 radio and television works. (end) ms.hb
