The Ministry of Municipality and Environment has taken an initiative to install sport, entertainment equipment and games for children with disabilities. The initiative has taken in collaboration with Sasol, which is an international integrated chemicals and energy company and Al Laqtifiya Family Public Park will be the first in Doha to benefit from such facilities.
The initiative is under the theme of 'Qatar is available to all aims at creating opportunities to children with special needs to participate in all community, educational, entertainment and sport activities, the Ministry said.
Four different types of games including Ability Space Whirl, Ability Trampoline, Flint Slide and Ability Swing will be available at first time in a public park in Qatar on December 4, to mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
Laqtifiya Family Public Park is located at area No. 66 inside Doha. The park that was opened on June 21 after renovation is close to many schools
