The Public Works Authority, ‘Ashghal', announces that it will close the access point from Uhud Street to Al Luqta Street for six weeks in order to complete the construction of new eastbound lanes on the Dukhan Highway East project.
The planned road change is located between Tilted Intersection (former Tilted Roundabout) and Al Beday Street and has been designed in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic. The access point from Uhud Street to Al Luqta Street will be closed on Saturday 11 November, and will be in operation until 31 December 2017.
As shown on the attached map, road users travelling from Uhud Street who need to access the eastbound lanes on Al Luqta Street are advised to follow the service road to Al Beday Street, turn right and continue straight towards Makkah Street. At the intersection of Al Beday Street and Makkah Street, road users should perform a U-turn and head back to Al Luqta Street.
The Public Works Authority requests all road users to abide by the speed limit, which is signed at 50 kph, and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
