Doha Learning Week, Qatar's first education festival, organised by the World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE), an initiative of Qatar Foundation (QF), will continue tomorrow.
It will feature activities including football, movie screenings, sessions, and other workshops, in addition to educational bus tours and awareness campaigns.
Events for Sunday include: The Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy returns with ‘Generation Amazing Football' at Katara, from 10am 9pm. Qatar Career Development Center, also a member of QF, continues its all-day awareness campaign on career counseling and academic guidance at Katara.
Bedaya Center's ‘Magical Learning Tour' continues the educational bus tours around Doha on The Yellow Bus from 9am 4pm. ibTECHar's ‘Sanae Bus' will offer educational bus tours at Newton Schools, Lagoona Beach, 8:30am 9:30am. Reach Out To Asia hosts the first day of its annual conference, ‘MENA Capacity Building for Youth and Humanitarian Action'.
The conference invites local and international participants to activities and training sessions to prepare for response and conflict resolution at the Education City Student Center, 9am 5:30pm, Sunday and Monday.
For its second session this week, Teach for Qatar offers ‘The untapped potential of Powerpoint,' a training session that includes how to create educational video games, at Hamad Bin Khalifa University's College of Islamic Studies in Education City, 12pm 2pm.
The World Innovation Summit for Health, another QF initiative, will also deliver a football session for children with autism and learning disorders, as part of its ‘Respect for All Football' activity at Awsaj Academy in Education City, 4pm 6pm.
Doha Film Institute will host ‘Learning through Film,' with screenings of short local and international films and discussion on the relationship between movies and education at the Museum of Islamic Art Auditorium, 7pm 9pm.
