(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Beirut, Nov. 10 (Petra) -- A Saudi Arabian national identified as Abed al-Shamrawi was kidnapped on Friday in Lebanon, confirmed Lebanese interior minister, Nohad Machnouk.
He said al-Shamrawi'a wife, who is Syrian, told security forces of her husband's disappearance and that she received a phone call from the kidnappers, demanding a ransom in exchange for al-Shamrawi's safe return.
The minister said the safety of Lebanon's visitors is a top priority for the Lebanese authorities.
