Pakistan- Barbers expelled for increasing prices refuse to return


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) MARDAN: Barbers who were expelled from a village for increasing prices of hair cut and other services refused to return fearing insecurity after the incident.

The refusal came after residents of Khoi Barmol allowed them to return to their homes and could continue their profession.Residents of the village warned the local barbers to leave the village after they increased prices of hair cutting and shaving.

A jirga comprised of deputy superintendent Ijaz Khan, Assistant Commissioner Imran Khan and local elders convinced them to come back. The jirga assured them that they would not be harassed and could continue their profession of cooking and shaving.

It should be noted that the local residents asked the barbers to leave the village for increasing prices of hair cutting and shaving and warned them of dire consequences for failing to ignore the warning.
