Kuwaiti helicopter pilots graduate from French airbase


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) PARIS, Nov 9 (KUNA) -- A new batch of Kuwaiti helicopter pilots graduated from the Dax airbase in south France, said a statement by Kuwait's Embassy in France Thursday.

According to the statement, obtained by KUNA, Major General Abdullah Al-Foudri said that the Kuwaiti pilots graduated from a training course devised by the French forces.

The Kuwaiti official commended the French armed forces for providing training to Kuwait's army and air force personnel, affirming that such gesture reflected the strong relations linking the two nations within the military domain.

Meanwhile, top officials at the French Air Force Schools Command (CEAA) lauded the level of cooperation with the Kuwaiti armed forces, saying that the ties have evolved since they were established some 50 years ago.

Kuwaiti Ambassador to France Sami Al-Suleiman attended the graduation ceremony, in addition to senior personnel from Kuwaiti and French militaries. (end) mzj.gta
