UAE- Apartment gutted in Sharjah fire, no casualties reported
(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Firefighters from the Sharjah Civil Defence managed to put out a fire which gutted an apartment in a building in Majaz area. No causalities have been reported, according to a civil defence official.
He said that the civil defence operation room received a call at 1:00pm about the fire and immediately dispatched firefighters to the site. The team evacuated the residents of the building and managed to control the flames which destroyed all the content of one apartment.
They also prevented the fire from spreading to other apartments of the building. The fire started in the kitchen and spread to the rest of the apartment, destroying all the furniture.The cause of the fire is not yet known, but the site has been handed over to forensic experts to find out the exact reason, he added.
