Kuwait- Bourse benchmark rises at end of week's trades
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) (roundup) KUWAIT, Nov 9 (KUNA) -- Boursa Kuwait concluded the week trades on Thursday with THE benchmark rising by 78.4 points and settling at 6,258.47 points, rising by 1.2 percent.
Weighted index gained 7.2 points settling at 397.3, rising by 1.8 percent. Likewise, Kuwait-15 index increased 22.3 points to 910.13, moving up by 2.5 percent.
Today's session witnessed trades in 98.4 million stocks, done in 4,238 spot deals, valued at KD 18.7 million (some USD 61.14 million).
Selling pressure and profit generation targeted stocks of many companies namely Mashaer, Warba, Kamco, White Cement and Madar. The session witnessed rise of stocks of 68 companies AND fall of 36 others. Meanwhile, shares of 22 companies steadied.
Trades under umbrella of Kuwait-15 index dealt with 24.5 million shares, done in 1,565 spot transactions, at a value of KD 13.10 million (USD 42.8 million). (end) mke.rk
