King receives US evangelical leaders
(MENAFN- Jordan Times) AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday met with a delegation of US evangelicals led by Joel Rosenberg, which is visiting Jordan as part of a regional tour, a Royal Court statement said.
The meeting addressed efforts to resume peace negotiations between the Palestinians and the Israelis on the basis of the two-state solution, where His Majesty noted the US administration's commitment to support peace efforts.
The King and the delegation also discussed the strategic partnership between Jordan and the US in various fields.They also discussed the regional and international efforts in the war against terrorism within a holistic approach.
For their part, the delegates praised Jordan's pivotal role, under His Majesty's leadership, to achieve peace and enhance stability in the region and the world.They also praised the Kingdom's efforts in supporting the values of tolerance and moderation and enhancing mutual understanding between religions.
Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and the King Office Director Jaafar Hassan attended the meeting.
