Bannon to push for McConnell's resignation

(MENAFN) On Wednesday, ex-White House chief strategist Stephen Bannon has urged Mitch McConnell, Senate Majority Leader to resign at once from his position as a leader and allow the move to become successful once Congress completes its push for tax reform.

Bannon stated to "Hannity" of Fox News "I tell you Sean, I'm to the point, that I think Mitch McConnell, to really bring unity to the Republican Party, and get things done, I think Mitch McConnell ought to tender his resignation."

Even though McConnell is not supposed to depart his position as majority leader through the tax push, Bannon believes he ought to offer his resignation on Thursday or tonight, he insisted "I think Mitch McConnell, tomorrow, should tender his resignation."
