(MENAFN) CNN was informed by Rep. Scott Taylor that Tuesday night's Democratic victory in his state have been a referendum on President Trump, disapproving of what he believes was the President's way for harming the party.
He stated on Wednesday "I think last night was a referendum. I don't think there was any way you could look at it a different way, to be honest with you, and be intellectually consistent."
In the Virginia gubernatorial race during what was anticipated to be a close race, Democrat Ralph Northam has beaten Republican Ed Gillespie by nine points. Taylor further added that "some of the very divisive rhetoric really prompted and helped usher in a really high Democratic turnout in Virginia."
