Police arrests national over cybercrime in Kuwait


(MENAFN) Police arrested a Kuwaiti citizen suspected of spreading rumors and misinformation via social media, according to the Interior Ministry.

The Interior Ministry's Public Relations department said that the citizen committed illicit acts on his social media accounts, revealing that there are 24 charges issued against the suspect.

It also issued a statement warning that any individuals spreading lies through the internet and similar media will be violating the law and their acts will be considered as cybercrimes.
