(MENAFN- The Conversation) I am an anatomist with multidisciplinary background. I have training and practical experience in innovations in medical education, medical sciences, cancer research and law. I have been admitted to practice in NSW and practiced as a patent litigation lawyer at an international firm.

My research is in the area of patient safety, medico-legal issues and quality of healthcare. I work with clinicians in the disciplines of emergency and radiology on a number of cross-disciplinary projects that focus on evaluating the effect of healthcare interventions and current practices within the ED and radiology on patient outcomes, safe clinical practices and effective service delivery.

As an anatomist, I study medical errors that relate to anatomy and anatomical variations and medico-legal issues associated with these errors. I research how medico-legal cases can be of help in teaching medical students and clinicians about safe medical practice and good patient care.

As a teaching academic, I am also interested in innovations and new technology and how they can help to improve medical education and practice of medicine. I use new technologies in my teaching and conduct research on their effects on learning and the best methods for implementing technological innovations.
