Texas A&M at Qatar unveils Paragons display to recognise partners


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Texas A & M University at Qatar (Tamuq) has unveiled a new display in recognition of the campus's valued partners in industry and community in Qatar. HE the Minister of Energy and Industry Dr Mohamed bin Saleh al-Sada was present.
The 'Paragons on display are Qatar Petroleum, Qatar Petrochemical Company (Qapco), ConocoPhillips Qatar, Qatar Computing Research Institute at Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Oryx GTL Qatar, the Qatar Fertiliser Company (Qafco) and Maersk Oil Qatar.
Representing the honoured companies as key stakeholders and lead supporters of the campus were Sheikh Thani bin Thamer al-Thani, chief executive officer, Oryx GTL; Dr Mohamed al-Mulla, managing director and chief executive officer, Qapco; Dr Hamed al-Marwani, chief administration officer, Qafco; Dr Ahmed Elmagarmid, executive director, Qatar Computing Research Institute; and Todd Creeger, president, ConocoPhillips Qatar.
Other special guests included members of Tamuq's Dean's Development Council: Sheikh Khalid bin Abdallah al-Thani, chief operating officer - Engineering & Venture, Qatargas; Mohamed al-Hedfa, adviser to HE the Prime Minister, Emiri Diwan; Yousef al-Jaber, Tamuq alumnus and director of Total Research Centre Qatar; Yasser Salah al-Jaidah, chief executive officer, Qatar District Cooling Company; Andrew Faulkner, managing director and chairman, Qatar Shell Company; Andrew H Kershaw, president and general manager, Occidental Petroleum of Qatar; and Hassan al-Emadi, general manager— Qatar, Dolphin Energy.
