(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Al Khalij Commercial Bank (Al Khaliji) has extended its support to Ihsan
Centre as part of the bank's corporate social responsibility (CSR)
programme, guided by an objective of helping the vulnerable and serving
common humanitarian causes.
The centre is affiliated to the Qatar Foundation for Social Work (QFSW)
which conducts charitable and voluntary work to empower the elderly and
promote solidarity between generations, as well as the promotion of
opportunities for interaction between them.
Omar al-Emadi, head of corporate banking, and Nawaf Talfat, senior
regional manager, visited the administrative headquarters of Ihsan and
provided financial support to the foundation.
Mubarak bin Abdulaziz al-Khalifa, executive director at Ihsan, praised
the efforts of Al Khaliji to support projects and programmes for the
elderly, and praised the bank's generous initiative and the role it
plays in programmes that will lead to a dignified life for the elderly,
and raise community awareness regarding communication skills needed to
interact with them.
Al-Khalifa also lauded the bank's keenness on exerting outstanding
efforts at all levels through their interest in CSR initiatives and
supporting the activities of social institutions.
'We thank Al Khaliji for its efforts in their continuous pursuit of
meeting the needs of the community and finding optimal solutions for
their problems. We hope that this will not be the first and last phase
of co-operation between us, and we look forward to a future partnership
that is beneficial to all segments of society and the elderly in
particular.
Al-Emadi said, 'This charitable initiative is a humble attempt to give
back to our loved ones our elderly people, and the bank will continue
to support humanitarian and social activities that benefit the Qatari
society. We also praise the noble humanitarian role played by Ihsan in
helping and contributing to alleviating the suffering of the elderly and
protecting their rights.
