Kuwait- MoE to 'deal' with employees receiving unmerited allowances

(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY, Nov 7: Ministry of Education is using multiple approaches to deal with employees who receive unmerited social allowances through the mandatory renewal of data every six months, and idle employees will be referred for disciplinary action while obliging them to refund sums they collected illegally, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The daily quoting sources said employees who decline to renew their data will not benefit from the allowance; stressing, the ministry requires employees to renew their data every six months as per a directive from the Undersecretary of Education Dr Haitham Al-Athari.

He added the ministry has specified cases that must be reported within one week of the date they occur, citing a woman granted divorce, death of a husband, a daughter getting married or gaining employment, a son reaching the legal age of 24 or securing a job (whichever comes first), the death of a child or death of the husband of a working class woman receiving social allowance as a married person.
