Argentina president owes his condolences to victims of New York

(MENAFN)Argentina's President Mauricio Macri paid tribute Monday to five of his countrymen who died in an attack in New York City.

A man drove a rented pickup truck, mowing down people who were enjoying sunny fall afternoon, at the bike path in Manhattan. The five Argentines were among the eight people who died from the attack.

"Argentines worship friendship... and they were here to celebrate the 30th anniversary of graduating from the same school, of shared lives and dreams," Macri stated at the site of the attack.

"Unfortunately, five families were destroyed" in this "cowardly attack." he added, putting a pack of white flowers at the site alongside his wife.
